RECOUNT TEXT

Recount text is a text which retells events or experiences in the past. Its purpose is either to inform or to entertain the readers. There is no complications among the participants and that differentiates from  narrative text.

STRUCTURE

1. Positive :

Subject + verb 2 + object

Subject + to be (was/were) + adjective/adverb

2. Negative :

Subject + did not + infinitive

verb + object

Subject + was/were + not + adjective/adverb

A verbal sentence is a kind of sentence whose predicate is a verb.

For example, I drink a glass of water

A nominal sentence is a kind of sentence whose predicate is not a verb. Mostly, the predicate 

is to be.
