PAST PERFECT TENSE

Is a form of verb used to express that annaction has been completed at a point in the past before another action takes place.

Positive (+) : S + had + V3

                     = My brother had slept

                        They had come

Negative (-) : S + had + not + V3

                     = My brother hadn't slept

                        They hadn't come

Interogative : had + S + V3

                      = Had my brother slept ?

                         Had they come ?
